What is the maximum flow rate for the Model 106-H?
The Model 106-H is an in-line ozone monitor that will add some flow restriction to any ozone stream. The effect of inlet pressure on the flow rate was measured and a maximum flow rate was determined.

Maximum Flow Rate for the Model 106-H Ozone Monitor

Author: Peter Andersen
Summary: The Model 106-H is an in-line ozone monitor that will add some flow
restriction to any ozone stream. The effect of inlet pressure on the flow rate was
measured and a maximum flow rate was determined.
Experimental: A compressed air tank with a pressure regulator was connected
to the inlet of a Model 106-H and a flow meter was installed on the instrument
outlet. The pressure was varied and the resulting flow rate was measured.
Results: The results are graphed below. A linear regression was applied to the
data to determine a simple relationship between the inlet pressure and outlet flow
rate. Since the Model 106-H has an internal pressure relief device that opens at
pressures > 50 psig, the maximum flow rate was determined as 55 L/min from
the data.
